Recommendation
Since spring 2016, Domaine Raison has been cultivating wine grapes across the Nishinaka area. The winery was completed in 2019, marking its first grape harvest and the production of its inaugural vintage. Outside the shop, visitors can interact with friendly goats, while inside, a boutique offers three types of cheese made from pasture-raised goat milk, along with a curated selection of sweets and alcoholic beverages from partner companies across Japan. In summer, the on-site café invites guests to enjoy goat milk soft-serve ice cream and chocolate treats while taking in stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Together with Hotel Hitohana in Furano’s Kitanomine area, Domaine Raison provides a comprehensive experience—from production and processing to tasting and relaxation. Guests can feed baby goats, tour the winery, browse the shop, and even sample select wines. Notably, the “Nakafurano Sauvignon Blanc 2023” received the Grand Gold Award at the Japan Wine Competition 2024.
